Atelier / Notes from the workbench

About the hands behind the set.

Three pages hold the house context: who MIST ODE is, what the craftsmanship standard means, and what travels with a numbered Collection.

About MIST ODE

A small atelier for clothing that asks to be kept.

MIST ODE is a doll clothing atelier devoted to antique textiles. Every piece begins with a love of dolls and the wish to create a little world around them. From there, we bring together fabrics and silhouettes, guided by their texture, softly faded colors, subtle undertones, and small irregularities. Hand sewing and machine stitching work side by side to shape each outfit, preserving the character of the cloth and the warmth of the maker’s touch.

Craftsmanship

A clear standard for the handmade.

Bonnets are formed and checked for balance. Tiny embroidery is placed by hand. Seams are pressed, closures are tested, and the finished piece is inspected before it is numbered. Cloth can carry an honest trace of age; visible construction flaws do not pass. A minor flaw, when it is part of the antique textile’s history and does not affect use, is described openly.

Packing & Artifacts

The small papers complete the object.

Each Collection set is presented with its hang tag, collector number card, and thank-you card. Packing is part of the record: the textile is folded carefully, the Bonnet is protected, and the small papers travel with the set so its story does not become detached from the clothing.
